Job Description

Account Manager – High-Volume Client Program (Remote, United States)

Proxy Retail Group, Inc. provides professional installation, project management, and ongoing program support moving at the speed of retail. Specializing in nationwide fixture, graphics, and sustained maintenance programs, Proxy bridges the gap between manufacturers, brand partners, and retailers as a trusted partner that delivers efficiently and without drama.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base pay plus performance incentives that reward the people who protect the relationship and deliver clean execution.
  • Powerhouse benefits: paid vacation, 401(k), paid holidays, cell/internet stipend, healthcare with company contribution, plus free unlimited access to the BBSI learning portal.
  • Fully remote freedom with schedule flexibility that respects your needs, while you maintain the flexibility and respect that the company needs.
  • Direct path to greater ownership and senior impact through real-world exposure in a fast-growing, founder-led company.
  • A supportive yet no-BS culture of high achievers who actually have your back. Values-driven and built for people who refuse to blend in.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Account Manager role owning the day-to-day relationship and operational engine for a high-volume, process-sensitive ongoing maintenance and installation program supporting a major retail display fixture client across thousands of U.S. locations. You will be the primary client contact, absorb frequent last-minute or off-the-wall requests with composure, keep internal team members productive and clearly delineated, protect critical templates and processes, and ensure the client never experiences a dip in responsiveness or ownership. Primarily remote with occasional travel for relationship or site needs. Seasoned professionals who stay calm under pressure, protect demanding client relationships, and keep proven systems running like a well-oiled machine will thrive here.

What You Will Own

  • Serve as primary day-to-day client contact; monitor and respond quickly in Microsoft Teams and limited email so nothing sits unanswered.
  • Manage the relationship with emotional intelligence and a partnership mindset: proactive check-ins, calm de-escalation, and consistent confidence under volume or transition.
  • Process and oversee high volumes of jobs using established templates, worksheets, and systems; drive timely closeouts, SOP compliance, and accurate financial tracking.
  • Track, review, and approve high-volume vendor and client invoicing to keep program financials clean, current, and fully aligned.
  • Own weekly scheduling, urgent/last-minute location workarounds, and territory coordination.
  • Lead and coordinate a small expert team: enforce clear ownership, run structured check-ins, and keep everyone productive and accountable.
  • Protect critical templates and documentation (including backups); control access and support transitions to new systems.
  • Run recurring program meetings, maintain process documentation and training materials, and provide field/process support so knowledge is not tribal.

Must-Haves (Dealbreakers)

  • 5+ years in account management, program management, or client operations supporting high-volume retail, fixture, merchandising, installation, or multi-location programs.
  • Proven success in client and relationship management: high emotional intelligence, de-escalation skill, non-abrasive communication, strong accountability, and the ability to absorb intensity without becoming defensive.
  • Strong leadership and buffering skills: experience coordinating others, setting clear ownership, and keeping teammates productive and aligned.
  • Heavy, daily proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook; high-level Microsoft Office mastery (Word, PowerPoint) plus solid Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and SharePoint/OneDrive experience. Fast ability to learn new systems required.
  • Process discipline: ability to follow, protect, and improve established high-volume workflows, templates, and SOPs rather than immediately redesigning them.
  • Fast learner with extreme ownership, clear structured communication, resilience, and a growth mindset under pressure.
  • Bulletproof home setup: reliable high-speed internet, quiet dedicated workspace, and flexibility for core hours plus occasional sprints.
  • Track record greater than degree; we care about what you’ve delivered and how you protect relationships.

Compensation

Competitive base commensurate with experience, plus performance incentives tied to client health and operational reliability.

Top performers only. If protecting a high-volume client relationship while keeping complex processes and people locked in lights you up, send your story.
