Correctional Registered Nurse (RN)Contract Duration: 6 MonthsWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while maintaining a safe and secure environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patient health status.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and facility staff.Educate patients regarding health conditions and treatment plans.Adhere to correctional facility policies, procedures, and security protocols.RequirementsActive Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseCurrent BLS CertificationMinimum 1 year of RN experience (Correctional experience preferred)Strong assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to work effectively in a secure correctional environmentExcellent communication and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsPrevious correctional, psychiatric, emergency room, or medical-surgical nursing experienceKnowledge of infection control and chronic disease managementExperience handling emergency and crisis situations
