Head of Substation Engineering Division

Position Summary

E.P. Breaux Utility Services is seeking a Head of Substation Engineering Division to lead and oversee engineering activities for substation projects. This position provides technical leadership, coordinates engineering resources, and works with company leadership and project teams to support successful project execution and division growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Substation Engineering Division’s activities and priorities.
\n
• Provide technical direction for substation design, construction, modifications, and related projects.
\n
• Manage engineering personnel, resources, and external engineering partners as needed.
\n
• Oversee the preparation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
\n
• Coordinate with leadership, project managers, field personnel, and customers to support project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
\n
• Support compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and customer requirements.
\n
• Assist with project planning, estimating, proposals, and business development efforts.
\n
• Address technical issues and support improvements in engineering processes and project delivery.
\n
• Perform site visits and other related duties as needed.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
\n
• Must hold current, active Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses in both Texas and Louisiana.
\n
• Experience in substation engineering or related utility projects.
\n
• Experience leading engineering teams or overseeing engineering functions.
\n
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.
\n
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
\n
