NOVA Engineering is seeking an ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete) for our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations
\n
• Performing field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt
\n
• Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
\n
• Performing laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results
\n
• Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations
\n
• Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Certification is required
\n
• PTI Certification is a plus
\n
• Ability to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
\n
