Job Details We are seeking an experienced Overhead Crane & Hoist Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial cranes and hoisting equipment at customer facilities.
This is a field-based position requiring a strong combination of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Direct crane experience is highly desirable, although experienced industrial maintenance technicians with relevant electrical and motor-control backgrounds may also be considered.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes and industrial hoists.
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
Inspect crane and hoist systems for safety and performance issues.
Troubleshoot single- and three-phase motor control circuits.
Diagnose VFD, motor, brake, contactor, relay, and transformer issues.
Repair pendant and radio-controlled crane systems.
Support PLC troubleshooting when required.
Perform equipment upgrades and modernization work.
Complete detailed service and inspection documentation.
Communicate repair findings and recommendations directly with customers.
Maintain company tools, service equipment, and vehicle.
Work safely at elevated heights and within active industrial facilities.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours customer needs.
Qualifications
3+ years of crane repair and/or industrial maintenance experience.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
Experience with industrial motors and electrical controls.
Ability to work independently at customer locations.
Comfortable working at heights.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to use standard hand and power tools.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
