This is a strong opportunity for a Roadway Superintendent, Utility Superintendent or seasoned General Foreman with DOT roadway and utility experience who wants a stable employer with a long runway of work. You'll run day and night shift roadway and underground utility crews on highway, roadway and utility projects, much of it NCDOT work. Triangle locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.What You'll Be Responsible ForRun day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projectsLead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremenSchedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveriesPlan the work and hold the project schedule shift to shiftOwn jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shiftSet up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved work windowsWork directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineersTrack installed quantities and daily productionComplete daily reports, crew time and field documentationCoordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shiftWhat We're Looking For5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman levelDOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plusWorking knowledge of grading, storm drainage, water and sewer installation, and paving sequencingSolid understanding of work zone traffic controlAble to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantitiesReady to work day or night shifts as the job needsValid driver's licenseNCDOT project experience is a plusOSHA 30 is a plusHCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plusBased in the Triangle or ready to relocate to the Raleigh areaWhy This Role Is Worth a ConversationFull benefits packageLong runway of NCDOT and heavy civil work, not a one project hireAn established self perform heavy civil contractor working across North Carolina and Virginia with a full pipeline of roadway, highway and utility workRoom to grow with a contractor that keeps adding projects and people in both statesHeavy civil work on the kind of projects that build a career.
